Scientific Software Engineer or Developer
You have completed a technical education at university level, preferably Master or PhD.
You have experience in software (pipe-line) development for data analysis for scientific instruments.
You have a strong knowledge of any or multiple of the following programming and scripting languages: C/C++, Fortran, Java, Perl, Python.
You are familiar or have experience with Web-based applications (servlets, JSPs, AJAX) and application frameworks (e.g. ZK, GWT, Spring, Grails)
You are familiar with common software development methodologies and practices e.g. CVS, SVN, GNU, UML, IDE-based development; knowledge or experience with the ESA ECSS system (or similar) is preferred.
Experience in the whole software cycle design: analysis, design, coding, documentation, testing, deployment/implementation and maintenance.
You have a strong analytical capacity.
You have an affinity for data- and information management.
