We are currently looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join the team in The Hague Metropolitan Area.

This Acoustics team provides R&D and consultancy services for industry and the public sector on noise control at the source, in the propagation path and on exposure at the receiver. It is based on expertise and innovative solutions covering environmental noise, occupational noise, product quality, detection and diagnostics technology. The team develops integral solutions by taking the whole chain from source to receiver into account, in a multidisciplinary approach.

Junior Software Engineer

Main responsibilities 

We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer with a passion for cutting-edge software development. Are you someone who:


  • Enjoys working in a dynamic, high-tech organization
  • Enjoys solving software challenges and looking for the best solution within the budget and time constraints of projects
  • Has a strong analytical mind that enjoys coming up with novel solutions
  • Is capable of self-study to quickly acquire new knowledge and skills across technical areas
  • Can work on and bridge the gap between scientific models and algorithms and robust, maintainable software and hardware
  • Works in an R&D team, and enjoys communicating and discussing with scientists and stakeholders, understanding their needs and using that to create practical workable software solutions


Requirements

  • You have completed a higher technical education MSc / PhD in Physics
  • Between 0-3 years of experience with programming
  • You have experience with Python, C++, C# and/or Java
  • You are fluent in written and spoken English and Dutch (Mandatory)
