Electronic Design Engineer ‘Hybrid Printed Electronics’

You will join the Hybrid Printed Electronics team to design, realize and verify new exciting prototypes and act as the EDEV representative in
in multi-disciplinary projects for our partners worldwide. In this position, you will develop the required competencies to design for printed electronic applications. You should have a great affinity with circuit design, prototyping and have multiple years of experience developing electronic systems, including embedded firmware development. You have a good overview of complex systems and are able to break these down into sub-systems with their corresponding requirements and interfaces. You don’t stop where the ‘standard approach’ may bring you, but apply innovation and creativity in discovering new solution spaces and successfully help to turn these learnings into leading-edge prototypes that underlie disruptive applications in the wearable, IoT and automotive space.

- Participate with your specific expertise in ongoing multi-disciplinary projects
- Interact with our industrial partners and customers on a day-to-day basis
- Develop, realize and test innovative electronic systems by means of:
- Definition of clear specifications
- Generation of innovative solutions
- Design of electrical schematics
- Design of electrical circuitry
- Embedded firmware development
- Unit and system testing and verification
-MSc/PhD degree in electrical engineering
-Multiple years (5+) of experience designing functional embedded electronic prototypes
-Extensive experience in PCB circuit design
-Extensive experience with firmware development and verification for embedded systems
-Hands-on mentality, able to translate vague requirements into practical solutions
-Creative, innovative, can-do mentality, daring to go beyond the ‘well-known’
-Self-propelling, well-organized and able to work both autonomously and as part of a team
-Good communication skills in English, both verbally and written. Dutch-speaking is a pré.
-Required PCB development tool experience: Autodesk Eagle or equivalent
-Required knowledge of programming languages: Embedded C, Python, Labview
