For our client ESA, S[&]T is continuously looking for engineers and scientists to cover posts in space projects in the following ESA directorates:

  • Earth Observation missions (EOP): in Engineering Support and Scientific Support
  • Human Spaceflight (HSF): in Scientific Support and Training Support for Astronauts
  • Navigation (NAV): in Galileo via TAS
  • Space science and robotic exploration missions (SRE): in Research and Scientific Support
  • Electrical engineering (TEC-E): in Data Systems
  • Mechanical engineering (TEC-M): in Environmental Testing & Mechanical AIV, Mechanisms, Propulsion, Optics and Opto-Electronics
  • Product assurance and safety (TEC-Q): in PA Engineering
  • System, software and synthesis (TEC-S): in Software Engineering and Systems, Technology and Concurrent Engineering
  • Telecommunications & integrated applications (TIA): in Engineering Support

For each of the positions that come available there is a broad range of requirements related to the experience and specific expertise. At minimum a few years of experience in the field,  and a completed University degree at the Master or PhD level are required.


  • At various locations in The Netherlands and Germany

Your qualities

For all ESA positions we are looking for candidates that

  • Are a scientist / engineer with a Master or PhD level of education
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in one of the relevant fields above
  • Have affinity for the space domain
  • Are interested in o continuing their career in one of the fields above
  • Are willing to become a master in their field and
  • Are good in English and/or French
