Software Architect and Project Manager

Job description

In this role you will be responsible for large-scale projects in scientific data processing, typically for space and astronomy clients like the European Space Agency and Astron. You will be expected to maneuver between internal and external clients, guide team members in technical choices throughout project lifecycles, and communicate about deadlines and expectations. 

You hold a Msc degree in computer engineering (or degree in (Mathematics/Physics) with experience in Software engineering and engineering projects.

Preferably you also have personal affection towards software engineering; you like finding solutions to resolve software problems and searching effective and efficient solutions keeping in mind deadlines and budgets constraints. 

You have at least 2 years’ experience in managing software projects in preferably Linux environment;
Extensive experience in Linux including use of command line and tools,
Experienced in Python, (C) C++, databases (mySQL PostgreSQL) is an asset,
Experienced with ESA projects is an asset,
And you need to be familiar with software version management, build and test environments.
