Photovoltaic Array Engineer

Main responsibilities 


  • You will design solar arrays to maximize energy capture and efficiency in the space environment.
  • You will study their performance in space.
  • You will calculate the radiation and its impact on the performance.
  • You will be in direct contact with stakeholders.
  • You will study the radiation impacts and act accordingly.
  • You will design the layout of the cells in every series.
  • You will be responsible for the wiring and interconnection between panels.
  • You will ensure that the insulation requirements are met.
  • You will route the wiring.
  • You will test the cells.



Requirements


  • Educational background in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in photovoltaic technology, with a focus on space applications.
  • In-depth understanding of solar cell technology, including the physics of diodes, cell strings, and panel architecture.
  • Experience with radiation analysis and its impact on solar cell performance.
  • Knowledge of materials.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct detailed performance and degradation analyses.
  • Excellent communication skills.
