We are currently looking for a System Engineer to join the team in Heerle.

As a System Engineer, you will be the technical responsible for the development of the propulsion products, ensuring that the overall design, analysis, tests, verifications and qualifications are aligned with the requirements. You will be part of the Core Team, and will work closely with the Program Manager, Product Owner and Product Assurance Engineer, being all of you the link with external partners.

System Engineer (Propulsion)

Main responsibilities 


  • Review documents and make design decisions.
  • Support the project schedule and budget.
  • Perform functional analysis and system development tasks.
  • Review mechanical designs, as well as structural and electronic designs.
  • Create documents for data packages for various reviews (EQSR, PDR, CDR, TRR, TRB), such as user manuals, qualification status lists, compliance matrices, verification control documents, functional analyses, assembly and test procedures, and test reports.
  • Provide technical support to the supply chain and production departments.
  • Develop test procedures.
  • Coordinate testing with the Test Department.
  • Offer technical support to Production during the test phases of the project.

 


Requirements


  • You have experience in a System and/or Expert Engineering role in high-tech, multidisciplinary or similar industries.
  • Your education is at least at a Bachelor’s Degree level or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
  • You have a deep understanding of space, propulsion components & systems, mechanical engineering (both structural and thermal knowledge) and AIT engineering.
  • You are proficient in English (C2). Conversational level of Dutch (B1) is an advantage.
  • Experience in the spaceflight industry, preferably as a satellite equipment supply is highly valued.
  • Knowledge of ECSS and Space Design Process Flow (EQSR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRB, DRB) is preferred.
  • You are up-to-date on the current technology status and market-related to spaceflight components.
  • You are willing to occasionally travel.
