About this job
We are currently looking for a Test Engineer to join the team in Leiden.
As a Test Engineer, you will contribute to the design of subsystems and components for the Space industry by analysing and testing. You will use methods and techniques that are established in technical manuals.
Please note that this is a temporary position until the end of 2025. Extension is possible but not granted. We accept freelancers for this role.

Main responsibilities
- You will participate in the analysis, definition, design, validation, and documentation of subsystems and/or components to develop part of a product, adhering to project guidelines.
- You will develop test procedures and expected outcomes based on a test plan, perform the tests, evaluate the results, and compile test reports.
- You will manage the preparation and on-site execution of tests.
- You will assist with the implementation and commissioning of (parts of) systems for the (internal) client.
- You will review design and manufacturing drawings related to your area of expertise.
- You will keep up with advancements in the field and update the team leader on relevant developments.
- You will engage with external stakeholders on-site to provide information about the systems.
Requirements
- You have at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- You have some knowledge of testing processes.
- You are customer-oriented.
- You are results-oriented.
- You have excellent communication skills in English.
- You are good at planning and organising.
