We are currently looking for a Topology Optimalization & FEM Specialist to join the team in Delft.

As a Topology, Optimalization & FEM Specialist, you will focus on the conceptual design of high-tech optomechatronics systems for different areas, in close collaboration with experts in the fields of mechanical and optical design, control engineering, and systems engineers. You will also collaborate with several universities and research institutes.

Topology Optimalization & FEM Specialist

Main responsibilities 


  • You will perform thermal and mechanical analysis for the design of the systems.
  • You will conduct multidisciplinary optimization studies together with other experts.
  • You will develop working prototypes to demonstrate how technical challenges can be solved.
  • You will give input to help steer the design towards the best integral solution, taking into account the involved physics aspects.
  • You will have complete 3D design freedom.


 


Requirements


  • You hold a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, with a specialization in optimization.
  • You have experience with multi-domain optimization.
  • You are skilled in MATLAB and/or Python, as well as in relevant FE software, such as COMSOL and ANSYS.
  • You are proficient in English, both written and spoken.
